Here are nine SPOOKY "No Dev. Needed" ways to increase your store's conversion rate without hiring a developer…
Let's get it…
1. Trust Badges - We all know that trust badges work!
But did you know that If you feature them above the fold, you will see a nice bump in conversion? We tend to hide things that we know work at the bottom of the page that no one will see. Try it and see! :)
2. Additional payment methods - We all have our Preferred way to pay when shopping online. So it only makes sense if we have more ways to accept payments… conversion will go up!
You could consider adding wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal Or Even Crypto and you will see an uptick by giving your customers more options to make a payment.
3. Talking to your customer - That’s right! No, I’m not crazy… lol
As business forges more online, we miss out on a massive opportunity by not talking to our customers regularly. We can find out so many amazing insights like…
Why did they buy from our brand?
How they are planning on using the product?
Even have an opportunity to upsell them into more products!
Believe it or not, some ppl will still only buy from businesses that they can call. This also adds a layer of trust!
You can use a simple app like the “Phone Call Button” to improve your buying experience.
4. Automated Personalization - Amazon does this amazingly well!
When you visit Amazon, the products you see are not placed there by accident. They leverage your past data and buying habits and show you items that are most likely to appeal to you.
This leads to a better customer experience and increased sales!
You can use Apps like Twik to automate product personalization for your customers. No longer is this just for the Amazons of the world.
5. Live Chat - Have you ever loaded your cart up… Getting ready to check out, but you have one quick question you would like to ask before you buy!
Yeah, you are not alone, and this is one of the biggest reasons why people don’t complete their purchases online.
Having a live chat available on high-intent pages such as ATC will make a big difference and help you increase your conversion rate overall.
6. Thrid-Party Social Proof - Consumers are getting smarter and smarter every year. They understand that reviews can be faked and might not be legit.
A great way to combat that is to use a service like Trust Pilot.
7. Abandoned Cart SMS - We have all used abandoned cart email sequences to increase our sales but have you tried Abandon SMS?Most brands are yet to take advantage of this opportunity to increase their conversion rate.
Emails get opened 50% of the time… SMS get opened 96% of the time.
You can use an app like SMSBump to incorporate SMS into your abandoned cart sequence.
8. Outcome-Based Copy - Yes, features and benefits are important, but what is going to happen when I buy and use your product?
What is the outcome I can expect if I buy today?
Customers don’t want to buy a drill they want the HOLE.
You need to not only tell them you need to show them the outcomes your product can provide for them.
This will work on your product pages but can be rolled out to ads, creative, testimonials and throughout your brand.
9. Buy from your competition - As good entrepreneurs, we need to be able to pull out our wallets and buy our competitor's products.
Why? It’s simple!
We can learn a lot from how someone else sells to the market. As you go through the process, take notes…
What are they doing right?
What are they doing wrong?
What can we add or take away from our process to improve?
This will give you the insight to improve your overall customer journey and ultimately increase your conversion rate!
